Peter J. Vaneff joins Kodner Watkins with significant experience in commercial litigation matters—initially as a law clerk and then as an associate at a predecessor firm in Clayton. Peter’s areas of practice include litigating complex commercial disputes, breaches of contract, business torts, fraud, securities arbitration and a wide range of non-traditional cases in litigation.
Peter came to the law after a decade of advanced academic work in mathematics and economics that honed his ability for strategic thinking and developed his aptitude for thoroughness and attention to detail. In turn, Peter has used these skills on numerous occasions to clinch a win for his clients, combining strategic foresight and the tenacity to see things through.
Never one to shy away from hard work or a challenge, as a teenager Peter came to the U.S. by himself. Having self-taught the English language by listening to and mimicking the BBC, he worked his way through college to become the first ever in his family to obtain a post-secondary degree. Peter earned two summa cum laude bachelor’s degrees and was selected to become a member of the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa, (“ΦΒΚ”), Society. Subsequently, Peter did graduate work in applied and computational mathematics and in economics, earning two master’s degrees as well.
For law school, Peter attended St. Louis University School of Law where he was a member of the Federalist Society.
Peter lives in St. Louis County with his wife and children.
